Walk along the streets in Melbourne’s gritty inner suburb of Brunswick and you’ll likely meet Turbo, a world-renowned Aboriginal artist barely recognized by locals. This is how Nick Kreisler and Nicholas Mau, a local photographer and a screen printer, met Turbo who now routinely invites himself to their studio to paint.

Following Turbo, Nick and Nick from their studio to the Melbourne Museum for inspiration, we discover how such different people can cross paths and how their relationships enrich their creative practice. This is a film about the value of space, difference and collaboration in artistic expression.
